Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) gave a sigh of relief to the locals of Mumbai, by easing the local train traveling restrictions. 

The new norms say those who are fully vaccinated, taken two doses of vaccine can be allowed to travel in local trains.

 Even for airports; New guidelines stated that fully vaccinated passengers are exempted from carrying negative RT-PCR reports while entering the airport.

Mumbai local trains used to carry more than 6.5  million people daily before the pandemic, which came down to less than 2.5 million during February this year. 

Mumbai on 16th July 2021 Reports 545 new COVID cases; 8,010 test positive. The total number of cases in Maharashtra has now reached more than 6 million.
