Lyricist - Poet - Journalist - Film Writer Ibrahim Ashk Dies Due to Covid-19 Complicatioin
Covid-19 has taken one more stars from this universe. He was a poet, a lyricist, journalist, and a film writer. Someone who has dedicated his life to a poetry, his writing style, his songs are still on people’s play list.
He holds list of achievements/awards from Ghalib Award, to, Kalidas Samman, kabir Samman, Star Dust Award for best lyricist, list is big, from 1991 he his presenting his mark.
On Sunday evening 16th Jan 2022, we got a sad news that Ibrahim Ashk is no more, he was admitted to Mumbais Meditech Hospital on 15th Jan 2022, for breathing issues.
He started getting notice from his very first“GHAZAL”
Particularly this part from his 1st Ghazal got very popular,

He struggled a lot in his life, before getting a job in News paper as a Urdu literature, he was working in a typewriter shop where he use to teach people typing.
He was getting 30rs Monthly salary, simultaneously he joined night college to complete his education, so he use to work in day and study in night.
He also thought committing suicide not once but thrice, when he was sack from his news paper Job in Indore and he was not getting much work there to do, he was facing hard time to take care of the household responsibility of his mother and of her younger sister.
But then his mother told him to visit Ajmer Sharif and share your trouble and ask for hope from Khwaja Gharib Nawaz Dargah.
Then he visited Ajmer Sharif and from there he come to Delhi, and from here his life changed. He was offered to work for shama with 350rs Monthly salary.
In 1984 he has written six songs for film "Geet Mera Pyaar Ka" bug unfortunately that film never got released, But,
Major turning point came in his life, when his song (Mohabbat Inayat Karam Dekhte Hai) from film "Bahaar Aane Tak" got super hit and this made him well known face in bollywood.

Koi Mil Gaya,
Aap Mujhe Ache Lag Ne Lage,
Black and White,
Welcome,
Dus Kahaniya,
Yeh Tera Ghar Ye Mera Ghar, so on...
He will be truly missed, great loss to cinema and the craft.
