2022 - The World Press Freedom Index
INDIA
India, known as the world's largest democracy, where for the last 8Eight years the Prime Minister has not taken a single press conference, WHY?
Except once where he refused to answer any question, WHY?
The Prime Minister did selective Prime Time with the selective news channel, WHY?
Violence against minorities rapidly increasing in India, WHY?
Who and What are fuelling these attacks,,,
- The ruling regime of India is BJP and its ideology belongs to its parent organization RSS, which believes that India should become a Hindu nation and for this they are pushing Hindus aggressively across India.
- Most of the opposition political parties have abandoned the Muslims because they fear that If they talk for them, they will be targeted as pro-Muslims then the Hindu vote share will go down
Even the layman people are now aware but the media is silent and helping BJP to help to fuel the hatred and communal tension.
How long India will be able to hold the Tag of the world's largest democracy when the media and journalist who talks against the government (BJP) matter of fact raise their voice showing the truth are straight getting targeted by the sitting people in the power.
Let’s take the example of Rana Ayyub, An award-winning journalist from India whose's work has been published around the world.
She bluntly reported and touched on the topic that most journalists are completely ignoring.
Rising of Hindu Terrorism / Rise of Hindu Nationalism
Corruption in The PM Narendra Modi Government
Which led her to big trouble: The government authorities, directly and indirectly, tried to silence her, by getting her bank account seized, online abuse, rape, death threats, and so on.
The world is aware of what had happened to Journalist who has bluntly shown the world a true face of ruling leaders, all were killed in broad daylight, Gauri Lankesh, Jamal Khashoggi, Daphne Galizia, and many more.
There are many such journalists around the world, currently facing nightmares of revealing the truth, but in India, it's rapidly increasing, and the only problem here is in India TOP journalists are no longer brave to ask direct questions to the authorities about their wrongdoing.
Major Indian News Channels now become a puppet of such ruling leaders, more precisely BJP.
From 142, India is now at 150 on the World Press Freedom Index, but you will not see any prime time on these issues, WHY?
India is now becoming the most dangerous country for media, especially for independent journalists, and this truth no longer can be hidden.

If you criticize the MODI government you will be labeled as Anti-National, WHY?
We should stop calling journalists "brave" and I agree with Rana Ayyub. This is a basic job of a journalist to show the truth, unfold the reality, and we are badly lacking in that. We are scared of even showing the truth which is recorded in the public domain, forget about the in-depth investigation, and straight questions are not getting asked the people sitting in the power.
There are very few journalists mostly independent journalists who are putting effort and unfolding the truth risking their life. We should support such independent journalists, media houses not just to carry out such work, but also to be "Brave"
